The Vestry for electing Church-wardens was held at noon. I nominated Vice-Admiral Rolfe C.B. to be Rector's Warden in place of Mr Hunt, resigned after 21 years service: and in place of Montague Smith, Fedarb was elected, as People's Warden.
During the afternoon I received a letter from the Secretary of the National Club, enclosing a copy of a communication addressed to the Bishop of London complaining of my Easter Day Sermon!! So the plot thickens.
After dinner Ella and I went to the Tothill Mission Room and witnessed an excellent display by the Church Lads Brigade.
