Sexagesima, February 7th, 1904.

The first Sunday in Session. I preached at Mattins in St Margaret's, & celebrated the H.C. There were 86 commts. At Evensong in the Abbey I preached to a large congregation. The Abp. of C. was present. My subject was "Unacceptable discipleship".

Powell-Williams died in the Westminster Hospital today. It was announced in the Sunday newspapers that ambassadors had been withdrawn by Russia & Japan.

Alwyn Parker and Winifred came in to supper.
