Maurice Healy

Maurice Healy (1888-1943), lawyer; nephew of Tim Healy (1855-1931; ODNB), first governor-general of the Irish Free State; repelled by the violence of the Irish civil war, moved from the Irish to the English bar; KC, 1931; recorder of Coventry 1941, and renowned for his morale-boosting broadcasts during the early years of the Second World War.
