Dorothy Frances Buxton [née Jebb]

Dorothy Buxton [née Jebb] (1881-1963;ODNB), life-long campaigner for humanitarian causes, with special interests in Germany from 1914; co-founder, Save the Children Fund, 1919; drew the attention of the foreign office to reports of Nazi concentration camps in the 1930s, but to little avail until after the outbreak of the Second World War; publicised the plight of the Protestant Christian movement against Nazi persecution.
