William Chamberlin (b. 1897), American journalist; Russia correspondent for The Christian Science Monitor, 1922-34; on leaving the post, published his critical account of the cruelty and persecution practised by the Soviet Union in Russia's Iron Age (1934). See Volume 65, 85.
