Eleanor Plumer (1885-1967), educational administrator; principal of the Mary Ward Settlement, London, 1923-7, St Andrew's Hall, University of Reading, 1927-31, and the Society of Oxford Home Students, Oxford, 1940-2; principal of St Anne's College, Oxford, when the Society acquired its royal charter in 1942, remaining in the post until 1952; daughter of field-marshall Herbert Plumer, 1st Viscount Plumer.
