Charles Thomas Studd

Charles (C.T.) Studd (1860-1931; ODNB), Trinity Coll., Cambridge; a famous all-round cricketer, for Cambridge University and England, who sensationally gave up his sporting career to become a missionary, at first in China (1885-94), then India (1900-6); founder and leader of the Heart of Africa Mission in the Congo, and of the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade, 1919.
