Ishbel MacDonald (1903-82; ODNB), eldest daughter of the Labour party leader, the widowed James Ramsay MacDonald, and acted as his hostess while he was prime minister, 1924, 1929-35; member, London County Council, 1928-1934; owner and manager of an inn close to Chequers, 1936-52.
