Mary Maxse [née Wyndham] (1870-1944), eldest daughter of the 2nd Baron Leconfield; m. 1899 General Sir Frederick Maxse; chair of the Women's Unionist and Tariff Reform Association, 1905; opponent of women's suffrage; a keen churchwoman, and supporter of Women's Institutes.
