George Margoliouth (1853-1924; WWW), editor, translator and commentator on ancient religious texts. Born in Poland to Jewish parents, converted to Christianity, ord. 1881 and took British citizenship in 1887; head of Hebrew, Syriac and Ethiopian manuscripts, British Museum, 1891-1914.
