Albert David (1867-1950; ODNB), headmaster of Rugby school, 1909-21; bishop of Liverpool, 1923-44; liberal churchman, though at odds with Henson not only concerning the 'Life and Liberty' campaign in 1917 but also in 1933, when he permitted L.
