National War Aims Committee

The National War Aims Committee was established by a cross-party group of MPs on the initiative of the government in the summer of 1917. It aimed to maintain public support for the war through disseminating patriotic propaganda, particularly against the spread of pacifism in towns and cities. It was funded by a Treasury grant of £1,000, and worked in co-operation with local committees.
