Friday, September 28th, 1928.

Writing letters and paying bills all the morning! In the afternoon, a walk round the Park with Lionel, & then tea & shewing the Chapel etc. to a party of Ladies including Lady Barnard – there is my day!

I offered Heatherycleugh to the Revd Ernest Thompson, Assistant Curate of S. Cuthbert's, Bensham. He was ordained 13 years ago.
