Wednesday, June 18th, 1924.
I went into Durham, & licensed three curates. After lunching with Wilson, I attended Evensong in the Cathedral, & then, after tea with Dawson Walker, I confirmed 209 persons in the Cathedral. The whole service occupied rather more than 1 1/4 hours. Then I returned to Auckland, & wrote letters.
