Tuesday, February 7th, 1922.

I made my first appearance at the Club, which met at the Café Royale, Regent Street, at 8 p.m. Lang was in the chair, and the company numbered altogether 12 persons. They were the following: – Archbishop of York, Bishop of Durham, Bishop Gore, Lord Haldane, Lord Sumner, Sir Charles Oman, Sir Fred. Kenyon, Sir Henry Newbolt, Sir George Murray, Admiral Sturdee, George Macaulay, Frank Pember.
