Wednesday, May 26th, 1920.

A warm, thunderous, & clouded day. Brilioth went back to Oxford before lunch. Haseler, the Vicar of Stapleton, lunched here, & discussed the proposal that he should accept Dorrington, & hold it with Stapleton. After lunch I motored to Bridstow, but found that K. was absent, so I missed my labour. I worked at the Swedish lectures, but to little effect.
