The brilliant weather continues. I wrote to the Bishop of Salisbury, and to Mrs Darwin on the hateful subject of the Divorce Bill: & then I fell to work on the Swedish Lectures. After lunch I walked with my Swede to Bullinghope, where Riddell gave us tea, & we had much pleasant talk. No less than 3 owls were observed in the garden after dinner.
