I wrote the above letter to Major, and sent back the MS. Then I worked at the Swedish lecture. At lunch was Davies, the Rural Dean of Leominster, who gives a strange account of Nelson. Afterwards I walked & talked with Lilley. James came & filled up the income tax papers. Parker called to discuss the Diocesan Messenger. Finally I wrote letters. The weather was beautifully warm and fine. Ella & her guests motored into the country, and paid various calls. I received no letters of interest.
