Friday, October 31st, 1919.

I finished the sermon for All Souls. Sir Leslie & Lady Rundle lunched here. I instituted the Incumbents of Kinlet and Lower Sapey. I wrote to Mrs Bulmer begging her to assist me by inducing her husband to resign Canon Pyon on January 1st, 1920. Also, I wrote to Mr Craven, the Vicar of Stretford, accepting his offer to hand over the patronage of that little parish to me, & promising to urge the Diocesan Board to make him a grant.
