The weather was beautiful, beginning with a glorious sunrise ending in a calm evening. I wasted my morning on the Preface to "The Naked Truth". After lunch we all motored to Staunton–on–Wye, where I looked in on the Jarvis Trust meeting. We went on to Almsley, & called on the Evills: and the Collett–Masons. Having had tea again (!) with the Montgomery–Campbells. Then we went home, & I cleared off my letters with Wynne–Willson's assistance.
