As I was getting up a sharp attack of lumbago disclosed itself, & reduced me to much helplessness. With the assistance of the Hotel servant I dressed, & went to the Club, & after breakfast crawled to Westminster, where I attended the Church of State Ctee. Later I travelled to Hereford.
