I gave Norcock instructions for dealing with the clergy who have volunteered for service, arranged my room into a fallacious appearance of order, and came away to Oxford where I was welcomed by Frank, & after tea walked with him round Christ Church meadow. The Vice–Chancellor (Blakiston of Trinity) came to dine, and contributed his full share in an interesting conversation.
