I spent the morning in making sure that everything was in trim for tomorrow's function. First, I went to that cormorant Adeney: then I secured my episcopal hat from Lock: then I called on the Dean at Westr and went with him to the Intercession service. Finally, I returned to the Deanery in time to hear Ruth play. The Archbishop sent me a very kind letter in answer to that which I wrote to him (v. p. 152)
