Beyond attending Mattins and Evensong, walking with Hughes, writing letters, and reading, I did nothing.

The typist–maiden, Alice Hewitt, started to make a copy of what has so far been written of the Warden's "Life". Bayley came to lunch, & Fearne, in her uncle's absence, stayed here.
