1088th day

Ella and I bade farewell to our kind hostesses, & motored to Westgate where we caught the "Granville", and travelled comfortably to Victoria. There we managed after some delay to get a taxi, and were carried to 35 Eaton Place, where Ella was deposited. I went on to King's Cross & there I left my luggage. We met at 16 Elvaston Place, & lunched with Miss Mundella. Kittie came there also. After lunch I visited the barber for a final shampoo, had tea in the Athenaeum, & then went to King's Cross, & caught the 5.30 p.m. express to Durham. I was back in the Deanery shortly after 11 p.m.
