3rd Sunday after Epiphany, January 21st, 1917.
902nd day
I went to the Cathedral at 8 a.m. and received the Holy Commn. Budworth celebrated. Also I attended Mattins & read my lessons, though with discomfort to myself through a villainous cold. The Cruickshanks came to lunch. I attended evensong. Captn Lewis & another Officer from Cocken came to tea, also Knowling & his niece; Gee and Meade–Falkner. Before going to bed I had some conversation on ecclesiastical affairs with Sir John Barran.
