The Spooners left after breakfast, expressing themelves, as is their wont, in terms of hearty appreciation. Then I attended Mattins in the Galilee: & afterwards countermanded the painters who were to have attacked the Deanery on Monday. Then I completed a revision of the sermons which I propose to preach in Glasgow Cathedral tomorrow. After lunch I travelled to Glasgow, where I put up at the St Enoch's Hotel.
