360th day
My day has been wasted through sheer inability to make a start on the Foakes–Jackson article. I attended Evensong, and afterwards walked round Houghall Wood with Gee. After dinner I wrote to Buller accepting his invitation to stay at Donaghdee, and to Mary Radford. I received a note from Pearce in which he observed rather cryptically that 'Newcastle will go amiss', by which I suppose he means that some High Churchman will be sent there.
