Weather still cold. I attended Mattins. Then I revised the Magna Carta lecture, wrote letters, &c. We walked to Shincliffe in the afternoon, and had tea with Captn & Mrs Soltau–Simmons. He has lost an eye, & received other injuries, but is wonderfully vigorous. On my return to the house, I wrote more letters.
