Saturday, March 28th, 1914.
We left Durham by the 8.20 express, & arrived in London shortly before 2 p.m. We went directly to the Deanery of S. Paul's.
There dined Pearce & his sister, Sir John & Lady Struthers, Mary, & Linetta. I had contracted a disabling chill, & played well the part of the skeleton at the feast.
