Saturday, July 13th, 1912.
I finished the Preface to my projected volume of sermons, "The Creed in the Pulpit". Pearce read it through, & on his suggestion I mitigated one or two allusions to the persecuting twins – Gore & Talbot.
In the afternoon I went to the Athenaeum, & wrote to Carissima, & Marsden. There I found Gamble & Firth, with whom I had some converse.
