The funeral of Baroness Keen, the widow of one of Garibaldi's veterans took place today, the service being held in St Margaret's. As one of the hymns the family chose Newman's "Lead kindly light". This was an arresting arrangement in view of Newman's heartfelt detestation of Garibaldi's liberating movement.
