Tuesday, August 1st, 1911.
I went into the City & changed a cheque: spent the rest of the morning in cleaning up my room. Then we had lunch, and took our departure to Spencer Grange, Yeldon, Essex to visit Sir Peile Thompson. Llewelyn Davies joined us on the road, journeying to the same destination. After tea we motored in the country. There was a slight fall of rain, which gave us a very fine rainbow!
