25th Sunday after Trinity, November 13th, 1910.

I kept the house, being still miserably affected by the chill. Canon Robinson preached for S.P.G. in S. Margaret's. Afterwards he came in to lunch. He is an odd man, in aspect & manner: but original in mind, & probably above the average sincere. He is clearly embarrassed by the fanaticks on [sic] his society. They are still grumbling over the slight deviation into Christian reasonableness at Edinburgh!

Major & Mrs Pollok McCall called during the afternoon. Miss Markham was one of the party at supper.
