Low Sunday, April 3rd, 1910.

I celebrated in the Abbey at midday; & preached in the afternoon.

S. Margaret's was surrendered to one Ottley, the secretary of the Imperial Sunday Alliance – a most tiresome & verbose fanatick. At Evensong he continued for no less than 50 minutes.

On Monday, April 4th, the Brotherhood dined here.

On Tuesday, April 5th, I dined with Lady Ilbert. I signed & sent off the presentation of Addis to All Saints, Knightsbridge.

On Wednesday April 6th Ella went off to Torquay to stay with Mrs Dundas.

On Thursday, April 7th Archdeacon Stocks stayed the night.

On Friday, April 8th the 'Times' announced the appointment of Hicks as Bp. of Lincoln.
