Saturday, October 16th, 1909.
I bade a cordial farewell to mine host & hostess: and came away by the 10 a.m. express. My journey was beguiled by the very interesting book – Principal Rainy's Life – which Dr Whyte presented to me. I read thro' most part of the first volume before we ran into the station at King's Cross.
