Tuesday, May 4th, 1909.

The fine weather yet holds & today there is a feeling of spring in the air. I spent the morning indoors, first having instruction from mine host's secretary on the due management of the camera, & then writing the paper for the Church Congress next week.

I wrote letters to Mr Bryce, to the clergyman at Washington promising to preach on the 30th May, to Harold.

Mine host and I walked for an hour in the afternoon. A Hartford paper has a leader entitled "A new visitor from Westminster" from which I gather that the "Brooklyn Eagle" has been republishing an old article in the Contemporary, which I wrote on the Bible.
