September 4th, 1908. Murraythwaite.

The morning was pleasantly occupied in a motor–drive through Annan, Locherbie, Ecclefechan, & Dumfries. The views on all side [sic] are very beautiful.

After lunch Murray & I walked to the Brae Hill and sate down enjoying the lovely prospect & talking of many things.

I sent copies of the Pan–Anglican Congress sermon to Miss Chalmers, & Dr McGregor.
