Sexagesima, February 23rd, 1908.

A bright but cold morning, and only 12 comts at 8 a.m.

At 11 a.m. there was a fair congregation. The Lord Advocate was in the Parly seats, & he had brought with him the Lord Provost of Edinboro. Lord St Aldwyn & Sir Henry Craik were also there, but no Speaker. I preached on the Story of the Fall, administering Driver very freely.

In the afternoon, accompanied by Harold & Ernest, I went to the Regent Street Polytechnic, & addressed an assembly of men on "Friendship".

Returning thro' the Park, we fell in with the Lord Advocate & had some little conversation with him.

At Evensong there was a full church; I preached on the Story of the Flood, giving another dose of Driver.
