9th Sunday after Trinity, July 28th, 1907.

A dull, stifling day, with rain, difficult to live through. There were 19 comts at 8 a.m.: a moderate congregation at Mattins, when I preached most wearily on the Shipwreck, which formed the lesson from the N.T. At Evensong there was a congregation visibly declining before the holiday instinct.
