Wednesday, August 29th, 1906, Auchenlea, Row, N.B.

Another fine day. In the forenoon we i.e. Ella, Dorothy, & I, motored for about 20 miles, attaining on the level a pace of 33 miles. In the afternoon Charles & Dorothy took their departure, and, having dropped them at the pier, we went on to the cemetery, and then returned to Auchenlea. In the evening we dined with the Websters. There was of the party a young lady named Mackenzie, who had an album of signatures, to which I promised to send some contributions.

In the course of the day I read through a novel by Marion Crawford called "Via Crucis"– not a great production but readable enough.
