S. Luke's Day, 19th Sunday after Trinity, October 18th, 1903.

Alfred spent this Sunday with me. We went to Church at 8 a.m. I celebrated. There were 56 cts.

At Mattins there was a fair congregation. I preached on the Prologue to S. Luke's Gospel. There were 51 cts at the 2nd Celebration, amongst whom were Mr & Mrs Turnbull. Baddeley and Gwyer came to lunch; Alfred went with me to S. Mark's, Kennington Park. I preached to a crowded congregation. The Church is a plain building with galleries & holds 2000 people. Sherwood read himself in at S. Margaret's.
