Saturday, July 12th, 1902.
The post brought me the necessary permission, & at the time appointed I went to Mr. Parker's house and asked Ella to be my wife: & did not ask in vain. So a great step was taken very suddenly. May God bless us both herein! Later in the day Ella took me to call on Mr. Charles ̭ Bruce ̭ at 13 Chapel Street
