Wednesday, May 15th, 1901.

I celebrated at 8 a.m. After breakfast I wrote a sermon for tomorrow: & then went to lunch with Alexander. Then I attended a large meeting in the Church House in the interest of the Oxford House, & heard speeches from the Bps. Of London, Kensington, & Stepney, Lord Shaftsbury, & Bernard Wilson.

Eyre came to tea. I finished my Ascension-tide sermon, & then read Evensong & listened to Kirshbaum preaching. Finally I wrote some letters & went to bed.
