Rogation Sunday, May 12th, 1901.

A beautiful, bright morning. I Celebrated at 8 a.m. There were but 22 commts.

The Bishop of London preached for his Fund in S. Margaret's. There was an overflowing congregation: & the Offertory = £77., which was made up at Evensong to £86.

I preached at S. Matthew's, where the service was most lawless: incense three times over.
