4thSunday after Easter, May 5th, 1901.

There were 5 commts at 7 a.m. : 46 at 8 a.m: 65 later - a total of 116.

At Mattins there was a fair congregation. In the Members' seats I recognised the Speaker, Sir Michael Hicks Beach, Ritchie, & Bartley, while Mr Talbot sate in his own seat.

I begged very hard for the Westminster Hospital, and the offertory = £51.1.8, which the churchwardens thought a very large sum.

On Saturday May 4th there was a Memorial Service for the Hon. Armine Wodehouse: M.P. for the Saffron Walden division of Essex: and on Thursday May 9th another for Stanley Leighton M.P.
