I travelled to Falconhurst to dine & sleep. George Talbot was there, and Strong. We had much talk about S. Margaret's. I proposed to Mr Talbot that the Burgesses of Oxford & Cambridge should offer a copy of the Revised Version for use in the Abbey: so that my motion in Chapter would be met by their proposal from outside. Mr Talbot received my suggestion with great goodwill, and undertook to write forthwith to his fellow-burgesses.
